Ekta Kapoor's popular daily soap Naagin is all set to come with its third season now and the show is already hitting the headlines because of its leading lady.
So far, Naagin franchise had actress Mouni Roy in the lead along with Adaa Khan playing a pivotal role. However, this time Ekta Kapoor is planning to replace both the ladies for Naagin 3.
In fact, she even took it to Instagram stating that 'a new naagin will be arriving soon'. While speculations are rife about who will be replacing Mouni Roy as the lead protagonist.
According to the media reports, the third season of the popular show will have Surbhi Jyoti playing the role of Naagin. Surbhi was last seen in Star Plus' Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai which went off air in June this year.
Notably, no official confirmation has been made in this regard yet.
Interestingly, being replaced as the lead of Naagin was an emotional moment for Mouni, who went on to share a comment on Ekta's Instagram post expressing her feelings. She wrote, "that hurt a little but am excited too."
To this Ekta replied, "You will always be a part of Balaji! For now, bigger things await u!!!!!! My dearest we will miss u on naagin!"
Apparently, Mouni opted out of Naagin 3 owing to her Bollywood debut. She will be seen playing a key role in Akshay Kumar starrer Gold which is slated for 2018 release.
