All the fans of Rajnikanth out there, you need to wait a little longer for the release of the much-awaited film 2.0. The makers of the sci-fi film have postponed the release date once again to April 2018.
The Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer was originally supposed to release in December 2017 but was later pushed to January 2018. Lyca Productions has now finally confirmed that the movie will hit the theatre screens on April 27, 2018.
Interestingly, S. S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 released on April 28, 2017 and Prabhas- Anushka Shetty starrer went on to become one of the highest grossing Indian films till date. Thalaiva fans can now start counting the days to see their favourite superstar back on the silver screen.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran took to Twitter to share the release date of the highly anticipated movie.
2.0 which is the first ever film to be directly shot on 3D is the sequel to the blockbuster Tamil film- Enthiran. The upcoming science fiction film also stars Amy Jackson makers in a key role.
The movie with a budget of over Rs. 400 crore has been touted as the most expensive film in Indian history. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to create maximum buzz about the film. They had organised a grand audio launch of the film few days back.
