There had been several rumours regarding the remake of 1994 comedy film ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. Finally, the makers of the flick clear the air for the fans of the cult laugh riot. The film which didn’t manage to do well after its release but later because of its one-liners and crazy combination of Amar and Prem, Raveena and Karishma, Teja and Bajaj, Bhalla and Robert and Crime Master GoGo drive the audience to  demand its sequel.

Director Rajkumar Santoshi confirming the news says, “I want to make a worthy successor. What other filmmakers do is en-cash on a successful film’s title, whether there is a story or not. I can’t cheat people with the title. The day I’m satisfied with the subject being the worthy successor, I will get on the floor with the movie’’.

Originally, the flick featured Salman Khan and Aamir Khan in the lead roles, and when Rajkumar was asked about the reprise of the roles, he said, “For humour, you need innocence. That time, these actors had the innocence. Now, it will look forced. It looks cute if a 20 year old is chasing a girl. A 45-50 year old man chasing young girls looks vulgar’’.

The makers of the film have not finalized the cast yet for the sequel and said, “There is Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan... They are all promising actors and they have the knack for comedy. I will pick up good talent for the film’’.
