Deepika Padukone, who will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, has finally wrapped up the shooting of the period drama. The diva will be seen playing the titular role of Rani Padmavati in the magnum opus.
"Deepika has wrapped filming for her part. The actress has reserved additional three to five days for any patchwork if required. Patch work will be shot only after Ranveer and Shahid have finished shooting their respective portions," a source was reportedly quoted as saying.
Interestingly, Deepika has been quite excited to be a part of Padmavati and has been putting in every effort for her role. In fact, she even termed her role in Padmavati as the most challenging role of her career.
Apart from Deepika, Padmavati will also star Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the role of Rana Rawal Ratan Singh and Alauddin Khilji respectively. The movie was earlier slated for a November release this year. However, after witnessing a series of disturbances in its shooting schedule, Padmavati has been pushed for a 2018 release.
