Filmmaker Shashank Ghosh’s upcoming comedy drama ‘Veere Di Wedding’, which is happened to be one of the much-anticipated movies of the year, gets a new release date.
Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is now slated to hit the screens on June 1. The Indian female buddy comedy film was earlier expected to release on May 18.
The movie will release on producer Ekta Kapoor’s nephew Lakkshya’s birthday.
"June 1 is one big day! 'Veere Di Wedding' arrives on my Lakkshya's birthday! Ab shaadi aur birthday pe aap sab ko nimantran hai (You all are invited for the wedding and the birthday.),” Ekta tweeted.

On the other hand, Sonam on Friday also took to Twitter to announce the new release date of the flick.
