Bollywood actress Yami Gautam, who was last seen in Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'Kaabil', is all geared up to start working for her next film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'.
Making the big announcement of her entry in the Shahid Kapoor-starrer, an excited Yami tweeted, "Super happy to commence this special journey with @kriarj on ‘ Batti Gul Meter Chalu ‘ :) Really excited for this one #Prerna #Shree @shahidkapoor @ShraddhaKapoor 😁😎."
On the other hand, Shahid also took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to welcome Yami on board."Great to have you on board. 👍👍," Shahid wrote.
Based on the tagline "What happens when there is no electricity and the bills keep coming on?", the story of the movie revolves around the social issues regarding escalating electric bills.
Though Shraddha Kapoor will be featured as the main lead opposite Shahid Kapoor, Yami bags a quite interesting role which may showcase her skills in acting.
The Shree Narayan Singh directorial, which will be extensively shot amidst the gorgeous locale of Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri, Mussoorie, and Nainital, is slated to release on August 31, 2018.
