2006 Nithari killings: CBI court convicts Moninder Pandher, Surinder Koli

New Delhi:

Moninder Singh Pandher and helper Surinder Koli were convicted by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in the 2006 Nithari serial killings case on Saturday, ANI reported. However, the quantum of sentence will be pronounced on July 24.

Surendra Koli was found guilty of Nanda Devi’s murder in 2006. A CBI court gave him capital punishment on October 7, 2016. Earlier, the Supreme Court had sought the response of Koli on a plea of the Uttar Pradesh government against the Allahabad High Court's verdict that commuted his death penalty to life term.
