3 years of Modi Govt | Received fractured economy, our decisions restored credibility: Jaitley

New Delhi:

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday addressed a press conference on the Indian economy’s performance in three years of Modi government.

Cautioned by the shocking GDP data released on Wednesday, the finance minister seemed to be defending the economic measures taken by the government rather than sharing the glory of GST and demonetisation, which usually is the tone of these press conferences.

Shifting the blam of slowere GDP growth on UPA-II regime, Jaitley said, “We received economy in a very bad situation, our robust decisions have restored the credibility of the economy.”
