New Delhi:
An earthquake of 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale struck 111-kilometer north-east of Thang in Jammu and Kashmir on the early Thursday morning.
On Wednesday, a strong tremors were felt in New Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region) as a 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck Uttarakhand.
The earthquake struck at Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, at a depth of 30 kilometres, the India Meteorological Department said on its website.
The tremors were also felt in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) where people rushed out of their homes in panic. As per some reports, some high-rise buildings shook as the tremors struck.
