New Delhi:

A 24-year-old man from Agra committed suicide as thousands watched it on Facebook early on Wednesday morning. Apparently, he took the extreme step after failing to qualify for the Indian Army, as per media reports.

The man, identified as Munna Kumar, committed suicide while streaming it live on Facebook and confessed that he had failed in the Indian Army entrance examination even after many attempts.

As the mobile camera rolled, Kumar went on to hang himself.

He even left a two-page suicide note which stated about his struggle and apologised to his parents for being a disappointment to them.

The Facebook Live stream was watched by over 2,750 people but nobody informed the police or Kumar’s family member.

His body has been sent for post-mortem, the police said.
