The Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker on Friday served notice to 19 MLAs, who are supporting TTV Dhinakaran, for the second time asking them to explain their position by September 5.
The MLAs had already met Governor C Vidyasagar Rao withdrawing their support to Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. The opposition parties MPs had also met President Ram Nath Kovind and demanded immediate floor test.
While talking to media after meeting President Kovind, CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury said they have demanded that the Tamil Nadu Governor must convene state assembly for an immediate floor test. He said,"let the assembly to decide that which party is in majority."
