RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Misa Bharti is likely to appear before Income tax department on Monday in a case regarding Benami land deals.

Last week, the Income Tax Department had slapped a penalty of Rs 10,000 on Misa Bharti for not appearing for questioning in the matter.

The department had also issued her fresh summons in connection with its probe in the Rs 1,000 crore alleged benami land deals and tax evasion case.

Bharti was supposed to appear before the investigating officer (IO) of the case on June 6, but officials said she failed to keep the date.
