Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad's elder son and former Bihar health minister Tej Pratap Yadav on Sunday rubbished the rumours about any rift between him and his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav.
However, he accused RJD state President RC Purve and some senior leaders of ignoring and trying to sideline the youth workers of the party.
"All this news of family infighting etc is false, there is no such thing, I have nothing against Tejashwi and Lalu ji but yes some other senior leaders in the party are sidelining youth workers,†Tej Pratap told reporters in Patna.
The former Bihar health minister said that Tejashwi was very close to his heart and some “anti-social†elements were trying to create a rift among the Yadav family.
“We will not let the anti-social elements who wish to break the party succeed. Anti-social elements want to break Lalu Yadav, the party, we will never let them succeed. Tejashwi is an ear to my heart,†Tej Pratap said in a video clip shared on his Twitter handle.
Along with the video clip, he shared a clear and cut message that read, “Sanghis (a term loosely used for BJP and RSS workers), don’t try to spread rumours and be sure that Tejashwi is very dear to me.â€

Tejashwi Yadav is the younger son of Lalu Yadav. He was chosen as the deputy of Nitish Kumar in the 'Mahagathbandhan'Â government. Currently, he is the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly and considered by many as the heir apparent to Lalu.
