New Delhi:

Despite Congress refused that it did not instigate violence in Madhya Pradesh, but a party MLA, Shakuntala Khatik, was caught on camera asking her supporters to burn down a police station in Shivpuri.

The Congress MLA’s supporters were shouting slogans against administration while blaming of conducting hooliganism. Meanwhile, the MLA asked to burn down a police station which was recorded.

Khatik was seen in a verbal spat with a police officer who was trying to placate her in the video. She was demanding suspension of Karaira TI.

Another Congress MLA Jeetu Patwari was also involved in an altercation with a state government official. Patwari and his supporters had allegedly ransacked a market after they were denied entry into the market.

Earlier, the grand old party demanded the resignation of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his home minister over the deaths of six farmers in Mandsaur in police firing.

Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi dubbed the BJP governments at the Centre and state as “Band, Baaja, Bullet” regimes that responded to protesting farmers with bullets instead of providing them remunerative prices for their produce.

Accusing BJP’s state and central governments of being “insensitive” towards farmers and their plight, she said this is the reason why farmers were agitating in states like Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

“The policy of the BJP governments at the Centre and in states is clear that if the farmers demand remunerative prices for their produce then they will get bullets in return. If you demand the price of your labour, you are labelled as criminals,” she said.
