Congress failed to implement its big announcements: Vasundhara Raje

Reproaching Members Of The Opposition, Vasundhara Raje Said The Budget Allocation Has Increased In Almost All Sectors Despite The Challenges. Be It Tourism, Power, PHED, PWD Or Sports, The Government Has Allocated More Budget For Developmental Works.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje heavily criticised the Congress on Friday. She claimed that those sitting in opposition, who were in power earlier, had failed to implement their big announcements.

"Everyday four villages are being connected by roads. Road connectivity has improved in the state thus paving way for better trade with other states. It is generating employment and boosting tourism," she said in the state Assembly.

Raje said, "Those in opposition today made big announcement when they were in power but were poor inimplementation." "We are completing the projects that previous Congress government had announced. We do not work on paper but work onground. Criticism for the sake of criticism is not a good idea," she said.

The Chief Minister said, "We do not have a magic wand to change the poor economic and structural organisation that we inherited from the Congress." She said that market does not have the buoyancy that ithad earlier. There is slump in real estate sector, mining, vehicle and sales tax has come down.

"Previous Congress had good revenue health but where did the money go. I fail to understand why Congress government could not work and is now criticizing us. "We are still looking for satisfactory reply from the previous Congress government," she said.

Reproaching members of the opposition, she said the budget allocation has increased in almost all sectors despite the challenges. Be it tourism, power, PHED, PWD or sports, the government has allocated more budget for developmental works.

She said, "We are moving towards our goals and working forthe holistic development of the state with a target. We want people to prosper. "We are here to solve their problem and make them financially stronger with transparency and accountability, Raje said.
