New Delhi:

The Congress on Thursday said the party would organise a nationwide shutdown on September 10 against the rising fuel prices and asked other opposition parties and civil society groups to join their protest against the BJP-led NDA government.

Congress leader and spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said the common man was bearing the brunt of the escalating prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas and added that the Congress would also demand that petrol and diesel be brought within the ambit of the GST so that the “common man” is provided the requisite relief.
