New Delhi:
On the first anniversary of demonetisation, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing the latter of destroying lives and livelihoods of people.
He said the step of Demonetisation was PM’s "thoughtless act."
Rahul wrote on Twitter, "Demonetisation is a tragedy. We stand with millions of honest Indians, whose lives & livelihoods were destroyed by PM’s thoughtless act."
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will visit Surat on Wednesday, the textile and diamond capital of the country, to participate in a candle-light vigil there as part of the Opposition parties' "Black Day" protest.
