New Delhi:

The power tussle between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and bureaucrats turned ugly on Tuesday after Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash claimed that he was physically assaulted by two AAP MLAs in presence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The top bureaucrat of Delhi was allegedly manhandled by at least two AAP MLAs while a meeting on the door-to-door delivery of essential government services was in progress.

However, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, terming the Chief Secretary’s allegations as ‘ludicrous’ accused Prakash of working on “BJP’s behest”.

“There was no incident of assault or attempted assault by any AAP MLAs. The Chief Secretary refused to answer questions saying he was answerable only to LG and not CM and MLAs. He used bad language,” the Aam Aadmi Party said in its statement.

Meanwhile, political rivals have trained their guns at Kejriwal govt with Delhi Congress Chief Ajay Maken terming the incident as AAP’s new low demanded Chief Minister’s apology.

Delhi Administrative Subordinate Services President DN Singh announced a strike with immediate effect and said they will not go to work until those at fault are not arrested.

After Anshu Prakash, AAP's Ashish Khetan also claimed that a mob shouting pro-BJP slogans manhandled him at the Delhi Secretariat while Delhi police remained a mute spectator and didn't intervene.

"There was a mob, unruly and aggressive - they ran towards me shouting pro-BJP slogans ..my staff members have been hurt. Lodged a complaint with Daryaganj PS....Delhi police staff did not intervene," Khetan said.
