Gangrape video goes viral, Bihar Police file FIR against suspects; CID to assist the case

A video of four men gang raping a woman has gone viral. The incident has prompt the police to seek help of the public in finding the culprits.

The video shows four men laughing while sexually assaulting the victim even after she begs them to let her go. But it yet not clear as to where and when the incident occurred and who the culprits are.

As per the language used by the men in the video, they seem to beof Magadh region of Bihar, comprising Gaya and other districts.

On receiving the video over WhatsApp on Friday, the state police headquarters directed Gaya SSP Rajiv Mishra to file an FIR and launch a search drive to nab the culprits.

Police have circulated the photographs of the suspects among all station house officers, night guards and people’s representatives and the efforts are on to identify and trace the victim, said Mishra.

Gaya police is urging people to help them identify the alleged rapists.

Gaya police will be assisted by the CID in investigating the case, as per the reports.
