New Delhi:
A video of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Karnataka has gone viral in which he can be seen speaking against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In the viral video, he said that Gauri Lankesh would have been alive if she had not spoken against RSS.
D.N. Jeevaraj, who is a BJP MLA from Sringeri said, "If she had not written 'chaddis' maaranahoma' (Death of RSS) in her paper that day, would she still be alive today?"
Lankesh wrote an article titled 'Chaddigala Maaranahoma' which means 'Death of the RSS'. Jeevaraj’s statement came in reference to this article written by the senior journalist.
"Gauri Lankesh used harsh words against the RSS workers, and I respect that. But that might have been the reason for her death," the MLA added.
Lankesh was shot dead at her residence in Bengaluru's Rajarajeshwari Nagar on September 5. She succumbed to multiple bullet injuries on her body.
