New Delhi:
Girls and boys embracing each other while traveling on bikes and vulgar behaviour in public leads to rape said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmaker Sakshi Maharaj at a press conference in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.
Maharaj said, “The young couples while riding a motorbike, girl hug boy in such a manner, it seems she will eat him or the boy will eat the girl.”
He added that couples can be seen behaving in vulgar fashion in parks, cars and other places which leads to rape.
The BJP lawmaker said, “Everyone ignore the vulgar action of couples in public, but once rape happens, people demand action against the police.”
Sakhsi further added, “To avoid rapes, the right thing would be to take action against the couple's acting vulgarly in public places. Such couples should be put behind bars.”
Sakshi was few of the lawmakers who had tried to defend Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Singh after his conviction in rape case later he had clarified.
The lawmaker during the conference also said that Rohingya Muslim refugees should be pushed out from the country.
“They do not even have the right to stay for a minute in India,” said Sakshi.
