Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said Digital technology has emerged as a great enabler as it paves way for efficient service delivery and governance.

While speaking at 5th Global Conference on Cyberspace in New Delhi, He said all nations must take responsibility to ensure that the digital space does not become a playground for the dark forces of terrorism and radicalisation.

"We need to ensure that vulnerable sections of our society do not fall prey to the evil designs of cyber criminals. Alertness towards cyber-security concerns should become a way of life," he further added. 

The prime minister asserted that technology breaks barriers and it validates the Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam-world is one family.

Modi said three factors, first financial inclusion through Jan Dhan Bank accounts, second Aadhar platform and third the mobile phone, have greatly helped reduce corruption and bring transparency.

The prime minister said, “We are using mobile power or M-power to empower our citizens.”
