New Delhi :

Taking cognizance on Arvind Kejriwal’s statements in Goa, The Election Commission has directed that necessary legal action should be initiated against Delhi CM by filing a FIR/complaint.

The EC has already been furious over Kejriwal by his statements on and after 8 January in Goa. The coastal state is poll-bound and slated to go to polls on February 4.

The Election Commission has also stated that the compliance report regarding ant legal action on AAP’s National Convener should be sent to the Commission latest by 3 PM on January 31.

The EC had earlier issued a notice to Kejriwal for purportedly promoting bribery at a rally earlier this month by saying that voters in Goa should accept money from the BJP and Congress but cast their vote to AAP.

Addressing the people of Benaulim, Kejriwal said, "If Congress or BJP candidates offer money, do not refuse it. Accept it as your own money. But when it comes to voting, press the button against the name of the AAP candidate."
