Gujarat Assembly polls: Arun Jaitley and Nirmala Sitharam hold meeting with BJP senior leaders

Arun Jaitley, BJP’s election incharge for Gujrat and co-in charge Nirmala Sitharaman to chalk out strategy for the upcoming assembly elections later this year met the party’s core group in the state at the party state headquarters in Gandhinagar on Monday.

New Delhi :  

Arun Jaitley, BJP’s election incharge for Gujrat and co-in charge Nirmala Sitharaman to chalk out strategy for the upcoming assembly elections later this year met the party’s core group in the state at the party state headquarters in Gandhinagar on Monday.

Jaitley and Sitharaman also attended a workshop especially associated with state BJP’s media and social media departments.

The core group included Gujarat’s chief minister Vijay Rupani  and BJP state chief Jitubhai Vaghani.

According to Gujarat BJP senior leaders as many as 500 party workers including members of the media and social media operations from various part of the state associated participated at the workshop

The two veteran BJP leaders visited Gujarat for the first time after the duo were given responsibility to take care of the election campaign in the state.

Jaitley talking to the media after the core-party meeting said that the party would fight the election on the performance of the state government and agenda of development.

“BJP has started its preparation for the upcoming assembly polls. Sitharaman, Gujarat CM and me sat with the core team to formulate the strategy for the polls, “ said Jaitley.

He added, “We also attended the workshop organised for those who handle media and social media. "

Sitharaman talking to the media said, “Our party's campaign will be constructive and positive. I have been particularly given the responsibility of the Saurashtra region."
