Gujarat RS polls: Congress in a tizzy as NCP yet to clear stand over support

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has put Congress party in tizzy ahead of Rajya Sabha polls in Gujarat which will be held on Tuesday. Senior NCP leader Praful Patel affirmed that his party has not decided yet about extending support to any party in the Rajya Sabha polls. Congress MP and Candidate Ahmed Patel is contesting Rajya Sabha polls from the state.

NCP has two legislators-Kandhal Jadeja and Jayant Patel- in the state Assembly. NCP is an ally of Congress party since 2012.

On the other hand, Congress MP Ahmed Patel said he is confident of his victory, saying that all MLAs are with the grand old party.
