New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated BJP president Amit Shah and Union Minister Smriti Irani on being elected to Rajya Sabha from Gujarat.
The duo made their maiden entry into the Rajya Sabha. The polls for the seats held on Tuesday.
“Congratulations to BJP President @AmitShah & ministerial colleague @smritiirani on getting elected to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat,” PM Modi tweeted.

Besides this, the Prime Minister also congratulated Shah for the completion of three years as the party president. He also mentioned that the party’s base had expanded during these three years.
