New Delhi:
The Sikhs across the nation are celebrating the birth anniversary of their sixth guru Guru Hargobind Singh on Saturday, June 10. He is also known as 'Miri Piri ka malik' and his birth anniversary is being celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm.
Guru Hargobind Ji constructed the Akal Takht in the Golden Temple, which is the most sacred place for Sikhs.
Several localites in India have organised religious processions on the occasion and several stalls have been placed to offer chabeel (cold sweet water) to the devotees.
Interestingly, Jammu-Kashmir state government also announced a holiday on Saturday as the governor and chief minister of the state greeted the people on this holy occasion.
