New Delhi:

India on Monday replied strongly to Pakistan's statement at the 36th United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session. Exercising India's 'right of reply', Indian diplomat from the Permanent Mission of India in Geneva, Dr. Vishnu Reddy called Islamabad the "face of international terrorism"

Reddy stated that Pakistan’s malicious attempt to hide interference behind the facade of domestic discontent carries no credibility with world.

The Foremost challenge to the stability in Kashmir and in the region is the scourge of terrorism, added Reddy in Geneva.

He further stated that “Let me reiterate, Jammu and Kashmir is an integral and inalienable part of India and will remain so. Pakistan's unsolicited comments pertaining to the Indian state of J&K are factually incorrect & misleading"

High time for Pakistan to do deep introspection and focus energies on improving human rights situation and dismantling terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

PoK is run by a deep state and has become an epicenter of terrorism. Instead of working with sense of purpose to address issues, Pakistan resorts to shortsighted tactics of diverting attention.

On the issue of evidence related Pakistan's support to cross-border terrorism, Reddy said that "Concrete evidence on cross-border support for terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir has been handed over to Pakistan. Pakistan must shut down its terrorist manufacturing units and bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice. Even Pakistan’s Foreign Minister admitted that internationally banned outfits including LeT, JeM are operating from within Pakistan"

Earlier on September 16, Pakistan, on behalf of OIC, had blamed India for the violations of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir and accused it in denying the right of self-determination to Kashmiris.
