Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Gujarat says, Jai Hind, Jai Bharat, Jai Israel

Ahmedabad:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after inaugurating iCreate Centre on Wednesday at Deo Dholera village near Ahmedabad said “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat, Jai Israel.”

Netanyahu while addressing to the people at the inaugural ceremony said, “The world knows about iPads and iPods, there is one more i that the world needs to know about, that is iCreate.”

The Israeli Prime Minister also thanked people of Gujarat for the support during liberation of Haifa. Netanyahu said, “Thank you Gujarat. Many Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the liberation of Haifa were Gujaratis.”

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Netanyahu accompanied by his wife Sara Netanyahu held a roadshow at Gujarat’s Ahmedabad under heavy security. Thousands of people lined up along the route to greet the two leaders.

People in thousand stood on both side of the road with Indian and Israeli flags and welcomed them with loud cheers. The duo leader were greeted with loud cheers.

The roadshow started at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport and concluded at Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram.

Netanyahu and wife during the road show also witnessed folk dance and cultural show being performed by artists of various states on stages erected on the roadside.

PM Modi showed Netanyahu, Mahatma Gandhi’s room at Sabarmati Ashram and various articles used by the father of nation.

The Israeli prime minister and his wife tried their hands on the traditional ‘charkha’ (spinning wheel) of Mahatma Gandhi.

The two leaders were also seen flying kites in the ashram.

Before leaving the ashram the Netanyahu and wife left a message. It read, “An inspiring visit to the heart of one of humanity's great prophet of Inspiration - Mahatma Gandhi.”
