Rahul Gandhi will begin Congress party’s Karnataka poll campaign from Ballari (Bellary) – his mother Sonia Gandhi’s first constituency – with a “Jana Aashirwada Yatre†on Saturday.
During the “Jana Aashirwada Yatreâ€, Rahul will hold a public meeting at Municipal Ground in Hosapete at 1 PM.
After addressing the public gathering, the Congress President will Huligemma Temple to offer prayers. He will also visit the Gavi Siddeswara Mutt.
Rahul will again hold a Corner meeting at Corporation Ground in the Koppal district of Karnataka and seek people’s votes for.
After the Corner meeting, Gandhi will address a public gathering at Vidyanand College Ground in Yelburga’s Kukanur.

Political experts say, Rahul Gandhi, choosing Ballari to embark his election campaign in poll-bound Karnataka was not a random pick but a well-thought strategy.
19 years ago, his mother and newly elected then Congress President Sonia Gandhi had contested her maiden election from the same Ballari constituency.
