In a shocking incident, former deputy mayor of Jharkhand's Dhanbad Neeraj Singh was killed in shootout on Tuesday. Singh and three other people lost their lives when armed attackers opened fire with AK 47 rifles near Saraithela Police station. 

According to reports, the shootout killed former deputy mayor Neeraj Singh, his friend Ashok Yadav, bodyguard Laltu and driver Munna. 

Neeraj Singh belongs to an affluent family in Dhanbad. His younger brother is current deputy mayor of Dhanbad. 

Following the attack, Singh's friends created ruckus outside the hospital, they were armed. Local people also got into a scuffle with SP outside hospital. CISF soldiers have been deployed outside the hospital following the incident.
