Two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ministers Chader Prakash Ganga and Choudhary Lal Singh resigned from the Mehbooba Mufti government in the Kathua rape case on Friday evening.

The resignation of both the ministers came in the backdrop of the public outrage over their participation in a rally organised by a fringe group, Hindu Ekta Manch in support of the accused in the Kathua rape and murder case.

Eight-year-old girl in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua was kidnaped, gang raped and brutally murdered by her rapists on January 10 this year.
