Pakistan violates ceasefire in J&K’s Mendhar and Balakot sector, intense shelling on
New Delhi :
Pakistan on Wednesday continued to violate ceasefire along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani rangers started unprovoked firing and heavy shelling on Indian posts in Mendhar and Balakot sector.
The Indian forces were replying befittingly to the unprovoked and intense shelling by the Pakistani troops.
Earlier on Tuesday, an Army Jawan was martyred in J&K’s Nowgam sector after a sniper fire from Pakistan side hit him.
In a similar incident of ceasefire violation on Monday, a minor girl and an Indian Army jawan were killed in a cross-border firing by Pakistan near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch's Balakote.
