New Delhi:
AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala on Wednesday surrendered before Bengaluru session court located near Parpana Agrahara jail. Soon after, Sasikala was taken inside jail.
The Parpana Agrahara jail and Bengaluru session court are located opposite each other.
Earlier on Wednesday, Chennai Police booked AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala and its Legislature Party Leader Edappadi K Palanisamy in connection with the alleged detention of party MLAs at a resort in this district.
"Will look into allegations, we are recording statement from all MLAs and then we'll take action," said IG Senthamaraikannan.
Reportedly, few people tried to attack Sasikala convoy near Parpana Agrahara court.
Edappadi Palanisamy will meet Governor shortly along with Senior AIADMK leaders Sengottian, Thangamani, Velumani, Dindugal Srinivasan.
O Panneerselvam and nine senior leaders of his faction will be meeting Governor at 8.30 p.m.

The court hall where AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala was to surrender had been shifted to the central jail at Parapppana Agrahara due to security reasons.
The Apex Court earlier on Wednesday refused to entertain Sasikala’s plea seeking more time to surrender for undergoing jail term.
The Supreme Court had on Tuesday restored Sasikala’s conviction in the DA case, awarding four years jail term to the AIADMK general secretary and her relatives, besides imposing a fine of Rs 10 crore each.
