AAP in fresh crisis: Kapil Mishra says will expose massive water tanker scam on Sunday; Kejriwal sacks him from Delhi cabinet in a reshuffle

The infighting in the Aam Aadmi Party intensified Saturday evening after Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra was sacked by Arvind Kejriwal minutes after he tweeted about “massive expose” in water tanker scam. 

Kapil Mishra will hold a press conference on Sunday at 11:30 am to expose "big names" in the scam and as he said, “the ground beneath their feet will shake.”

Mishra also alleged that Arvind Kejriwal is plotting against him before he exposes "big names" close to the Delhi chief minister.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announcing Mishra's sacking said, "Water management was not working fine. Hence Kapil Mishra has been removed from the post." 

"Total two have been included in the Cabinet now, Kailash Gahlot and Rajendra Gautam for a post which was vacant," Sisodia added.

Reacting on the entire episode, Kapil Mishra said, "this is my party, since 2004, I am part of this revolution and will not quit. Will remove the garbage."

"I was not informed of the decision and as per my knowledge, it was taken unilaterally by Kejriwal. The Cabinet or the Political Affairs Committee (the AAP's top decision- making body) was not involved," Mishra told PTI.

“I had informed CM that I would submit names of those to Anti-Corruption Bureau, who are involved in the delay, will reveal big names, and maybe because of those names such a decision has been made,” said sacked Delhi water minister.

"I am the only minister with no corruption charges, no CBI inquiry. Not given any post to relatives, exposed Shila Dikshit's corruption, He said."

Reports say Kapil Mishra belongs to Kumar Vishwas camp and was earlier removed from Law minister’s post.

Minutes before Manish Sisodia made the announcement, Mishra tweeted that he had come across a "massive expose on a water tanker scam tomorrow".
