Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited capital city of Madrid in Spain. PM Modi along with President of Spain Mariano Rajoy addressed media on Wednesday. PM Modi said that terrorism is a challenge for all of our societies and we get to hear a lot about terror attacks these days.

On the second leg of four-nation tour spanning over six-days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Madrid in the Spanish capital on Tuesday. PM Modi’s tour is aimed at boosting bilateral economic engagement with visiting countries and inviting more investment for India’s transformation.

“Landed in Spain, marking the start of a very important visit aimed at improving economic and cultural relations with Spain,” Modi tweeted in English and Spanish after landing in Madrid.

Modi’s visit to Spain will be first visit by an Indian prime minister since 1988.

“Hola Espana! Prime Minister Modi arrives in Madrid, first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in nearly three decades, is received by Spanish FM in a special gesture,” said Gopal Baglay, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs in a tweet.
