A lookout notice has been issued again Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh for allegedly plotting his escape plan from Panchkula court where he was convicted in a 2002 rape case.
Apart from Honeypreet, the notice has also been issued against Dera spokesperson Aditya Insan. Police have also slapped sedition charges against Aditya and Honeypreet.
The Police suspects that both are planning to leave the country and issued an alert at all the airports, railway stations, and other exit points.
Honeypreet and Aditya were accompanying Gurmeet Singh when the Panchkula CBI court convicted him. Soon after his conviction, with help of 5 Haryana cops who were in-charge of Dera chief’s security tried to free him from the custody.
On August 25, when the CBI court pronounced Ram Rahim guilty, he demanded a red bag he brought from his sect headquarter.
"The Dera chief demanded the bag, saying his clothes were in it. It was actually a signal for his men to spread the news of his conviction among supporters so that they could resort to causing disturbance," Inspector General of Police KK Rao told reporters.
As much as 36 people had died in the arson and violence by Dera supporters post his conviction.
