Yogi Adityanath effect: Lucknow police launches crackdown against people consuming liquor at public places

The Lucknow police launched a crackdown on Tuesday against people who were consuming liquor at public places in the state capital.

After receiving a directive from senior superintendent of police, all senior police officials and station house officers raided at liquor shops across the city. The police raided the liquor shops between 8 pm to 10 pm and conducted checks at major beer and wine shops.

The police also took tight measures for upcoming Chaitra Navratra festival as a directive was issued by UPDGP Javeed Ahmed in this regard.  

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday issued instructions to strengthen security in temples across Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Basant Navratra festival.
