A man who tried to protect his daughter from sexual harassment was allegedly torched to death by her perpetrators in Madhya Pradesh’s Damoh on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Narmada Sahu, 45.

According to police, the deceased’s daughter was regularly sexually harassed by his neighbour, Sachin Sahu. Narmada after giving repeated warnings to Sachin had lodged a complaint with the police.

Police further added that Sachin repeatedly threatened the family to withdraw the case.

On Saturday Sahin along with two other friends barged into Narmada’s house and allegedly poured kerosene on him and set him ablaze.
