The infamous ban of sale of beef in Maharashtra may be overturned by the Supreme Court's judgement on Right to Privacy, an agency report said.

Right to Privacy judgement will have "some bearing" in matters related to possession of beef in Maharashtra, SC said on Friday, according to PTI.

The apex court on Thursday gave a landmark judgment wherein it ensured rights to privacy to 1.25 billion Indians.

The unanimous judgment delivered by nine-judge bench has not only secured privacy as a constitutional right but has also given dignity of life to LGBT community, among others.
