New Delhi:

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is in Delhi to weave an anti-BJP alliance, on Tuesday met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar and other Opposition leaders and said that the BJP has "communalised" Hinduism.

"BJP is the most communal party and its members have communalised the idea of Hinduism,” the Trinamool Congress president told reporters in Delhi after the meeting.

Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA, Mamata said that the government was in the process of winding up.

“Which government doesn’t take up a no-confidence motion. The BJP is scared that many of its own MPs will not vote,” she added.

Mamata also informed the media that she was ready to meet all like-minded people, who are working to stop the BJP from coming to power in 2019.
