Banned outfit Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) on Saturday claimed responsibility for June 15 attack, which killed an Assam Rifles jawan and injured three others in Ukhrul district.

The outfit issued a statement saying they used Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast at Kashung village in Ukhrul district.

One jawan was killed and three others were injured when Assam Rifles personnel were ambushed by militants on June 15 at Kashung village in Manipur.

The ultras had carried out an IED blast at the village, killing one and injuring three Assam Rifles jawans, according to police.
