Manohar Parrikar admitted to Goa hospital after complaints of uneasiness

New Delhi:

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was re-admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital on Sunday evening after he complained of uneasiness, a GMCH official said. Parrikar complained of dehydration & blood pressure

Parrikar, aged 62, was brought to the GMCH in a wheelchair, and that he was accompanied by a family member, the official said.

Parrikar was discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on February 22, a week after he was admitted there and treated for a pancreatic ailment. He had presented the Budget in the Assembly on February 22 upon his return to Goa from Mumbai.

While Parrikar was admitted to the Lilavati hospital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, visited him to enquire about his health conditions.

When contacted, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said Parrikar was suffering from dehydration but was responding to treatment at the GMCH.

"We have posted specialist doctors who are monitoring his health continuously," Rane said.

The Chief Marketing Officer of the GMCH gave his statement and said that Parrikar is responding well to the treatment. He said, "Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had slight dehydration, he was taking treatment at home. Doctors at GMC advised to treat him in GMC, he is responding well to the treatment and is under observation."
