New Delhi:

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Yadav has been abandoned in his motto to reunite grand alliance and take on ruling Narendra Modi led government at the Centre in the 2019 Lok Sabha election and for now.

Bhujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday announced that her pary will not participate in the maha-rally called by RJD.

Yadav in an attempt to reunite and create ‘mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) at the national level called for a massive rally with the logo ‘BJP bhagao, desh bachao’.

The rally called by the RJD is called on August 27.

Mayawati on Thursday said that she would only participate in any ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance rally) only after the number of seats a party will contest is decided in advance.

Lalu had invited Congress, Trimanool Congress, Samajwadi Party, SP and left parties to be part of the ‘BJP Bhagao, desh bachao rally.’

Congress earlier had announced that Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice president will not be part of the rally.

Left parties have also announced that they will not be participating in the rally on August 27.

However, The RJD supremo has claimed that West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and C.P. Joshi, and rebel JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav will sharing stage with him in the rally.
