New Delhi:

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday said that the Sangh does not interfere in the BJP-led government’s policies nor does it influences its way of politics.

Speaking at the second day of "Bhavishya Ka Bharat - An RSS Perspective" conclave, Bhagwat said, “If they (Modi government) want any advice, they come to us and we help as much as we can. But we don’t have any influence over the government’s policies nor do we interfere in their way of politics.”

Giving more insights about the Sangh’s ideology, Bhagwat said, “Taking everyone along with us is the philosophy of RSS. We believe in Sarvepi Sukhinah Santu that goes beyond the concept of 'maximum good of maximum people'.”

Earlier on day one of the conclave, the RSS chief had admitted that the Congress party played a major role in India freedom movement and produced many great personalities.

"Congress played a big role in the freedom movement and gave India many great personalities," he had said.

The RSS and the Congress are the sworn enemies of each other. While RSS’s ideology symbolises the extreme Hindutva, the Congress’ ideology is more liberal.
