New Delhi:
Pakistan has granted citizenship to around 298 Indian emigrants in the last five years, according to the recent data revealed by the Interior ministry.
"From 2012 till April 14, 2017, a total number of 298 Indian emigrants have been granted Pakistani citizenship", the Interior Ministry said in a statement yesterday.
Getting a nationality in Pakistan is not that easy, it is a Herculean task and this time Pakistan has astonished with these recent figures which say that Pakistan has awarded citizenship to 298 Indians.

In National Assembly Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker Sheikh Rohail Asghar has asked about the data on nationality. After that, the data on Indians who get Nationality has revealed.
Recently Pakistan has provided a nationality to an Indian national. An Indian woman, whose husband died years ago, was granted Pakistani citizenship on the orders of former interior minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan in March last year.
She applied for nationality in 2008 from that time it was pending in the ministry. The woman had been married to a Pakistani man a long time back. After her husband died she got nationality.
