New Delhi:

After Pakistan government disregarded cultural and religious sensibilities of Kulbhushan Jadhav’s family members under the pretext of security prior meeting, the neighbouring country’s media harassed the former Indian Navy officer’s mother by calling her ‘qatil ki maa’ (murderer’s mother).

News agency ANI tweeted a video, where one can hear journalists hecking and harassing Kulbhushan Jadhav's mother and wife after their 40-minute long meeting with him.

In the video, one can hear journalists shouting, “Aapke patidev ne hazaron begunah Pakistaniyo ke khoon se Holi kheli ispar kya kahengi?' and 'aapke kya jazbaat hain apne kaatil bete se milne ke baad” (What do you have to say after meeting your son who killed thousands of Pakistani nationals and what are your feelings after meeting your murderer son.”

Earlier in the day, India hit back at Pakistan, accusing it of violating mutual understandings on Kulbhushan Jadhav's meeting with his family, and said the Indian national appeared coerced and under considerable stress during the tightly-controlled interaction.

Pakistan went so far as to have the mangalsutra, bangles and bindi of his mother and wife removed before they could meet him, the external affairs ministry said in a statement.

Also, most of Jadhav's remarks were clearly tutored and designed "to perpetuate the false narrative" of his alleged spying in Pakistan, it said in a no-holds-barred statement against Islamabad's conduct.
