New Delhi:
Passing burden on the consumers pocket, the petrol and diesel prices have been hiked by Rs 1.39 and Rs 1.04 from the midnight.
The prices would be effective from Saturday midnight. On April 1, the Indian Oil Corporation had decided to cut down petrol price by Rs 3.77 and diesel prices by Rs 2.91.
This price had excluded the state levies for both petrol and diesel.
"The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and INR-USD exchange rate warrant decrease in selling price of petrol and diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision,"IOC had said in a statement.
