President Ram Nath Kovind appoints governor of five states; Satya Pal Malik to take charge of Bihar

Former MP And BJP’s National Vice-president Satya Pal Malik Has Been Appointed As The Governor Of Bihar. The Post Had Fallen Vacant After Ram Nath Kovind Was Nominated As The BJP’s Presidential Candidate.

New Delhi:

President Ram Nath Kovind appointed the governors of five states including for Bihar and Meghalaya and Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Banwarilal Purohit has been appointed as the governor of Tamil Nadu while Satya Pal Malik would be the new governor of Bihar. The post had fallen vacant after the then Governor Ram Nath Kovind was nominated as the NDA’s presidential candidate.

Jagdish Mukhi will be the new Governor of Assam.

Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao was holding the additional charge of the governor of Tamil Nadu and there have been demands of appointment of a full-time Governor in view of the political situation in the southern state.

Admiral (Retd) Devendra Kumar Joshi will be the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. 

The former member of Bihar Legislative Council Ganga Prasad has been appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya. Brig (Retd) B D Mishra will be the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.
