Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam in Kevadia colony in Narmada district on Sunday. PM Modi performed Narmada aarti and offered prayers to at inauguration site.

Sardar Sarovar Dam is the world's second-biggest dam after Grand Coulee Dam in the United States. The dam is 1.2 Km long and 163 meters deep. It has two power-houses, river bed powerhouse and canal head powerhouse with an installed capacity of total 1,700 MW.
